The Dahinda General Store employs several local cashiers and really talented bakers. All of our employees are like family and have roots in the community. Occasionally, on our Facebook page, we highlight and acknowledge individual employees throughout the year, so be sure to "like" and "follow" us on there. In the meantime, here is our talented culinary artist!

ZIKIA PEEPLES

Zikia has roots in nearby Williamsfield and has been in the kitchen since she was a little girl. She has been successfully taught the culinary arts by several generations of fantastic cooks within her own family. She has culinary experience working in the Williamsfield High School kitchen and cafeteria, YWCA, Trefzger's Bakery in Peoria Heights, and she's been with us for several years. She confesses that her favorite recipes change constantly, but is currently enjoying making our danishes and other pastries. She has a talented hand and eye for decoration and presentation, and has that creative spark that allows us to change up and offer a wide range of bakery items.

When she’s not in the Dahinda General Store kitchen, she occasionally helps out in Fritzy's Greenhouse. Additionally, she enjoys photography, music, and art. Even for a Williamsfield girl, we're so happy to have her as a member of our Dahinda General Store Family!
